In pre-production Interesting notes from Army pilots- the Commanche project may be in trouble- the original purpose of the helicopter (stealth recon) is no longer needed as this area has been filled by UAVs and satellites (as proven in the most recent conflicts), the Army is trying to find a new purpose for it, after being in development for over 15 years its place has been filled. Plus with a price tag of almost $30 million it isn't the cheapest vehicle for recon.
