Notes
Project Cancelled.
Interesting notes from Army pilots- the Comanche project may be in trouble- the original purpose for the helicopter (stealth recon) is no longer needed as this area has been filled by UAVs and satellites (as proven in the most recent conflicts), the Army is trying to find a new purpose for it, after being in development for over 15 years its place has been filled. Plus with a price tag of almost $30 million it isn't the cheapest vehicle for recon.
After sepending $6.9 billion and 21 years of effort the Comanche development program was cancelled in early 2004.  Only two working prototypes were made.
