Notes
This helicopter was a modified Sikorsky R-6. The major difference was a special experimental rotor hub/blade design by Gilden Doman.
The rotors were a little longer, did not have flapping hings, drag hinges or hinge dampers. Despite these changes and the addition of two blades the performance was unaffected.
This design also incorporated the speed reduction gearing as a part of the rotor assembly. This keeps all the moving parts in a common housing.
