The civilian version of the AS 350 is known as the Ecureuil and is a single engine helicopter w/ the Arriel 1D1 engine. The current version is known as the AS 350B2, another version the AS350B3 is the "high performance version" of the B2 and utilizies a Turbomeca Arriel 2B engine.

The military version of the AS 350 is the AS 550 and is known as the Fennec. It is for the most part the same, using the Turbomeca Arriel 2B engine. The major differences are in the flight electronics and armament.
Still in production in France, China and Brazil
The AS-355 is the twin engine variant.
